Tru-Tension racing forward following success in The Den!
Innovative motorcycle tools manufacturer Tru-Tension successfully secured £75,000 of investment from retail guru Touker Suleyman on BBC’s Dragons’ Den on Sunday evening.
Tru-Tension founder Chris Frappell, 26, said “Everything has happened so quickly since securing investment from Touker, it’s been a pleasure to work with him and his experienced team who have added so much value in such little time. Our brand will soon be available in Halfords and many other national retailers, with many new products now on the horizon much sooner than we could have hoped.”
Tru-Tension produce a wide range of products for all kinds of motorcyclists, from tools and cleaning products for commuters and adventure bike riders, to lubricants and accessories for high performance racing.
Investor Touker Suleyman commented: “Chris should be immensely proud of the brand he has built with very little external help. It’s very impressive. Now it’s time for us to take things to the next level. Watch this space!”
With many new products in the pipeline and an influential investor on board, the future looks bright for Tru-Tension. Tru-Tension was featured on Dragons’ Den on Sunday 11th February. The show is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

Tru-Tension was founded in 2015 by inventor Chris Frappell. The company sells a range of unique motorcycle tools such as the innovative Chain Monkey (the world’s first motorcycle chain tensioning tool), lubricants and cleaning materials.
The Chain Monkey helps motorcyclists to correctly set their motorcycle’s chain to the correct tension first time, every time. This optimises performance, prolongs chain and sprocket life, optimises power delivery and helps to provide a smoother ride.
Chris is 26 years old and from Nailsea, near Bristol. He graduated from Coventry University with a first class honours degree in Motorsport Engineering in 2013.
